Belstat published data on the nominal average monthly salary in January-October 2011. For ten months, the average salary made up Br1.78 million ($208 at the rate of National Bank on December 13). The Statistics Committee notes that the figure in ruble terms is 50.2% more compared with January-October 2010.
The average wage in October 2011 amounted to approximately Br2.31 million, or $252 at the rate of National Bank.
The National Statistics Committee notes that the real incomes of Belarusians have increased by 2.5% for 10 months against January-October last year.
As Telegraf previously reported, after another ruble devaluation on September 14, the average salary in Belarus decreased by $135 for the day. According to the National Statistics Committee, the average salary amounted to Br1.85 million in July. If previously it was $350, then on September 14 - $215.
Gross average wage of workers in Belarus totaled Br1.56 million in April of this year, or $317 (in March - Br1.53 million or $311).
Late last year, as promised by the Belarusian authorities, the average salary reached $500 in equivalent. According to the National Statistics Committee, the gross average wage of workers in Belarus totaled Br1.6 million (about $530) in December 2010.
