PLUS Model magazine for obese women published a photo-shoot with a 28-year-old Russian model Katia Zharkova in its January issue. It is noteworthy that Katia was born in Minsk, but moved to Moscow in 2003. It was there where the girl had a good start as a role model.

Katia Zharkova was born in 1981 in Minsk in the family of a professional photographer. At age of 14 she was enrolled in a modeling agency. Then she graduated from the Moscow Institute of Culture and the Arts.
Zharkova also played a few bit parts in some TV series. In 2003 she left Minsk for Moscow. She worked as a producer of various projects on Muz-TV channel, led the morning show on TNT. In 2009, Katia Zharkova won the Russian competition "Sweet Woman."
