June 1, cigarettes will get more expensive in Belarus again. This information is posted on the website of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties. Thus, price of certain cigarettes of Hrodna Tobacco Factory "Neman" will rise by 1.5-3.7%, while "Kronon" – by 1.7% up to Br2.950, "Tycoon," "Minsk" and "Premier" – by 3.4% to Br3.000, "Queen" - by 1.5% to Br3.400, "FEST" - by 3.7% to Br2.800.
The price of imported cigarettes Sobranie will go up by 50% to Br30 thousand per pack.
As Telegraf previously reported, this is the fourth price increase of cigarettes this year. Earlier, the price of cigarettes was raised on February 1, March 1 and April 1. The last time, prices rose by 3.8-5% for those cigarettes, the cost of which was more than Br3.5 thousand per pack.
Meanwhile, "Neman" Director General Yuri Chernyshov said on April 3 that the price of cigarettes in Belarus might grow in more than three or four times and even exceed the price of cigarettes in the European Union. But to this end, according to him, the salary of the Belarusians should catch up with that in Europe.
