289 Settlements Are Still Deenergized in Belarus

In Belarus, hundreds of settlements, affected by thunderstorms and strong wind on August 8, are still deenergized. "According to information at 6:00 on August 10, electricity supply is not restored in 289 settlements. Restoration works are going on", reported to Telegraf correspondent in duty department of the MES.

According to the MES, the storm damaged a lot of residential houses, buildings and facilities in Minsk and Grodno regions. The most harmed is electricity in Vitebsk region. «In Minsk, no damages recorded», noted in duty department of the MES.

As Telegraf previously reported, on August 8 strong hurricane harmed electricity supply in 22 districts of Belarus. More than two thousand settlements became deenergized. There were damaged roofs of 397 residential houses, 25 facilities of social and domestic purposes, 9 production and 513 farming buildings.
