Economy Ministry Believes the Chinese Loans Most Beneficial for Belarus

Deputy Economy Minister Vladimir Adashkevich said that China loans are the most economically beneficial for Belarus. "We expect China to be one of the major foreign investors," the representative of the economic department said on October 14 and added that work with Chinese partners had been continuously carried out

According to Vladimir Adashkevich,  Chinese delegation of 10 persons is expected to arrive in Belarus next week. «Ministry of Economy will work with them on specific projects and areas,» the deputy minister noted, BelTA informs.

At the same time, according to the official, Belarus expands cooperation with its traditional foreign investors. Among them are the Baltic countries, Russia, Austria, France and Germany. The deputy minister expressed confidence that the amount of investment from the Belarusian main investor — Russia — will not diminish.

According to Vladimir Adashkevich, active work with German investors is carried out in the run-up to the investment forum to be held in Frankfort on the Main on November 17. «We hope the forum to give a serious impetus for attracting investors for specific Belarusian projects and areas of investment,» a spokesman for the Ministry of Economy said.

Vladimir Adashkevich emphasized that, according to the data of the first nine months of 2010, there had been 10% fixed investment growth compared to the same period of 2009.
