After careful analysis of results of the first phase of monitoring the work of state institutions, Presidential administration introduced concrete proposals for staffing and organizational rearrangements to be considered by the head of state. "If he supports them, a number of officials will leave their posts", the head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, said during phone hotline in the administration of Sovetsky district of Minsk.

«We base on the following: in the country there established and function effectively the system of work with citizens’ appeals. But, unfortunately, it turns out that many managers, because of certain reasons, are accustomed to that the main target for them are production problems. And problems of particular person are of the second, and even third importance. From my point of view, this is more subjective reason», Vladimir Makei said.

According to the head of the presidential administration, the system of work with citizens’ appeals is functioning effectively in Belarus. «But, perhaps, because of indifference, sluggishness of certain local officials this work with a man is of the second importance», Vladimir Makei underlined.

«That’s why the president made a relevant decision to compel officials to face the people, not in word but in deed», the head of the presidential administration added.

Inspections of state institution’s work will be systematic, Makei

Vladimir Makei also noted that such checks would be conducted systematically, and, if necessary, the presidential administration would carry out such activity at the highest level, BelTA informs.

As Telegraf previously reported, on July 12, the presidential administration of Belarus began the second phase of government institutions’ monitoring to resolve the most pressing problems of citizens and improve the quality of work with their appeals. The emphasis will be made on direct communication with the population.

During the week, the head of the presidential administration, Vladimir Makei, and his deputies will travel to regions where they will receive citizens without prior appointment. Simultaneously, chief inspectors for the regions and Minsk as well as leaders of interagency working groups to meet directly with the citizens of two or three districts each, and if possible to assist in solving problems.

For the citizens who will not be able to come to executive committees these days, presidential administration will hold phone hotlines in all inspected areas. On the most sensitive facts it is planned to carry out checks on the spot.
