Vaukavysk resident invited his friends to lunch, the company began drinking spirits. A quarrel shortly broke out at table. No one could consequently remember the reason for the showdown. However, it caused life one of the men: he was taken to hospital, where he died, while his drinking companions were put in jail.
Drunken men were first cursing, but soon 30-year-old Eugene kicked Jury, sitting on the couch, in the head, «Hrodnenskaya pravda.»
Valentine, owner of the apartment, was only worried about his sofa to remain clean, so, not to make it dirty with blood, he pulled Jury onto the floor. Meanwhile, Eugene, another participant of the fight, kept on beating his recent drinking fellow, now lying on the floor. Valentin, previously convicted, was «helping» to beat the man.
Jury, who was still alive, unable to resist, was pulled out to the apartment’s hallway. One of the men took the limp body by the hands, the other — by the legs, and then they struck him several times with all their might against the wall. Then the hospitable host pulled Yuri, who was showing no signs of life, on the stair landing and left him there, having hit the body a few more times after all.
Jury was found there by the neighbors. They tried to bring the battered man to feelings by ammonia, but the man reacted to nothing. Being unconscious, he was shortly taken to the local hospital, where he died in the intensive care unit. Medical examiners stated a traumatic brain injury with crushing the brain.
Vaukavysk district court sentenced the killers to ten years of imprisonment. The voblast court upheld the verdict.
