Economic sanctions, promised by the United States against the Belarusian enterprises JSC "Lidskaya Lakokraska" and "Polotsk Steklovolokno," which are subsidiaries of state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim, will come into force on 11 February. This was reported in the U.S. Treasury.

As Telegraf previously reported, the U.S. State Department announced on January 31 the introduction of unilateral sanctions against a number of Belarusian companies. For example, the U.S. revoked document permitting U.S. citizens to have business with «Lakokraska» and «Polotsk Steklovolokno.» In addition, the U.S. also expanded the list of Belarusian citizens, prohibited to enter the country.

In turn, the Belarusian company believes that the imposition of economic sanctions by the United States could adversely affect the U.S. consumers, for some of which, according to «Polotsk-Steklovolokno» head of marketing Aleksandr Krasko, the company is the only supplier of products.
