During the current fall-winter period about ten thousand people will be encouraged to undergo compulsory military service as the soldiers and sergeants. According to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, the preparation of the appeal has already begun. However, the specific terms of recruiting to the army are still unknown.
The ministry noted that the current appeal may start in the second half of January 2011, BelTA informs.
However, the dismissal to the reserve, the selection of recruits and other necessary activities will be conducted in accordance with the decree of the President of Belarus № 529, signed October 12, 2010.
