The richest of the ten candidates for the presidency of the Republic of Belarus is the incumbent head of state Alexander Lukashenko. This was stated by the chairman of the Central Election Commission Lidia Yermoshina after the official registration of candidates on November 18. At the same time "Trivium" company director Dmitri Uss possesses most of the property.
According to Lidia Yermoshina, sole entrepreneur Vladimir Provalski could have been the richest contender for the presidency of Belarus, if he’d been registered, Telegraf reports.
Alexander Lukashenko have earned about Br90 million this year according to his declaration of income. He’s followed by the head of the Union «For modernization» Ales Michalevic (above Br75 million) in this indicator.
Then go the director of the private enterprise Dmitri Uss (about Br34 million), the leader of the civil campaign «Tell the truth!» Vladimir Niakliaeu (Br22 million), BPF Deputy Chairman Rigor Kastuseu (above RUB206 thousand, or about Br19.5 million) and co-chair of the organizing committee for the creation of the «Belarusian Christian Democracy» Vital Rymasheuski (Br14 million), BelaPAN reports.
Less than Br10 million was earned last year by the leader of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (People’s Hramada) Mikola Statkevich (Br8 million); deputy chairman of the United Civil Party Yaroslav Romanchuk made about Br7 million.
The leader of the campaign «European Belarus» Andrei Sannikov and Economist Viktor Tereshchenko had no cash income in 2009.
