Belarusian State TV and Radio company (BTRC) fired one of its employees who posted video "Hide your grandmother's passport!" dedicated to the upcoming presidential elections in the country on the YouTube video sharing. External student of the Academy of Arts Eugene Shapchits worked as an editing engineer at the BTRC. The video appeared on YouTube, Shapchits, as he said, "was summoned to the management and asked to write a letter of resignation," which he did.

Video, which uses both direct and indirect allusions to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, has collected 30,000 hits on YouTube, and then was blocked. However, the movie, which was the first Shapchits coursework at the Academy of Arts, was soon re-loaded by other users and distributed to hundreds of sites.

The story shows an elderly woman, who was visited before the election by the people agitating for a certain candidate and persuading her to put a signature. Woman’s grandson hid her passport, thus preventing her, in his opinion, from support of the unwanted candidate. Movie ends with the slogan «Save the country. Hide your grandmother’s passport.» What is more, the election date is indicated — December 19.
