Venezuelan Oil Costs Belarus $647 per Ton, Belstat

Belarus imported 620.7 thousand tons from Venezuela in May — August 2010. Supply price averaged at $647 per ton. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee of Belarus. Belarusian authorities plan to have got 4 million tons of Venezuelan oil by May 2011.

At the same time, Russian oil imports decreased by 42.3% in January — August compared with the same period last year, the National Statistics Committee reported. Thus, 8.3 million tons of oil has been imported from Russia in Belarus over this period. The average Russian fuel price has increased by 30.5% to $402 per ton, AFN.

According to Telegraf, Belarus relies on 6.3 million tons of Russian oil free of duty in 2010. The remaining oil volume, according to the agreement, is subjected to a 100% export duty.

There has been $9.7 export duties increase on Russian crude oil to $273.5 per ton since September 1. The export duty on crude oil amounted to $263.8 per ton in August.

At present the duty on light oil products is $196.5 per ton, on dark — $105.9 per ton. However, the Russian Ministry of Finance reported that the export duty on Russian oil could grow by $22.5-25.5 since November 1, 2010.
