Belarus' Deputy Prime Minister, Ivan Bambiza, stated that Belarusian agro-industrial complex "can and should be a reliable source of foreign currency receipt by the country". "Efficiency and export are the main priorities of agriculture development for the next five-year plan", Deputy Prime Minister underlined.
According to the deputy head of the government, to the date, the authorities are working out the basic parameters of agricultural production, which will be reflected in the program of socio-economic development for 2011-2015, BelTA informs.
Ivan Bambiza added that the program itself will be approved at All-Belarusian People’s Assembly.
Moreover, the deputy prime minister noted that the government does not intend to ban the import of agricultural products, however, he stressed that it should not adversely affect Belarusian agricultural producers.
