Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Resigns

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Belarus, the country's permanent representative to the statutory bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Ishenkul Boldzhurova, resigned on September 4. At the moment, the diplomat is in Kyrgyzstan. She personally handed her resignation to the President of Kyrgyzstan of transition period, Rosa Otunbayeva.

Ishenkul Boldzhurova is going to leave her posts according to her own will. The decision to be taken by the President Rosa Otunbayeva is still unknown, 24.kg informs.

As Telegraf previously reported, on April 23 at a press conference in Minsk the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus, Ishenkul Boldzhurova, told reporters that the Kyrgyz diplomatic office in Minsk  was not to subordinate to the president Kurmanbek Bakiyev. «Bakiyev himself signed the resignation of presidential post and therefore lost the power», the diplomat underlined.

At the same time, Ishenkul Boldzhurova declared that Belarus is not obliged to extradite Kurmanbek Bakiyev home. «It seems to me, that the extradition is not the duty, but the right», the diplomat noted, referring to the «general examples of extraditions in international practice».
