Another aircraft of U.S. manufacture, Boeing 737/500, — purchased by Belavia airline in operational leasing — will land at Minsk National Airport. As airline's experts reported, it's the sixth aircraft of this modification, which will replenish Belavia air fleet.

«The plane is designed to carry 131 passengers with the provision of services in economic and business classes. By its technical characteristics, it can make mid distance flights up to 4.444 thousand kilometers with a maximum cruise speed of 912 kilometers per hour», reads the statement of Belavia press service.

As the airline informed, the aircraft will be used primarily for scheduled Belavia flights. «The airplane passed a full required inspection by professionals and meets all international safety standards», underlined in the message.

According to the airline’s general director, Anatoly Gusarov, Belavia compete adequately with foreign airlines, whose presence on Belarusian market increases every year. «The purchase of new aircrafts shows that the company does not lose its position, but dynamically develops and improves», Anatoly Gusarov said.

Currently, airline’s air fleet includes six Boeing 737-500, three Boeing 737-300, three CRJ-100/200 and four Tu-154 M.
