Autukhovich Suspended Hunger-Strike

Vaukavysk businessman Nikolai Autukhovich achieved a meeting with an official, responsible for a medicine in the Department for Execution and stopped the hunger-strike declared by him in Minsk remand home №1 because of refusal to render stomatological aid.

Pavel Sapelko, attorney of the sentenced person, said, that it was agreed as a result of a meeting that a doctor would come to Nikolai Autuhovich within two days to examine him on rendering aid on dental prosthetics, «Nasha Niva» informs.

According to Oleg Volchek, human rights activist, it is possible that Autukhovich would be moved from remand home №1 in other place in the treatment period.

The human rights activist explained also that the tooth office which functioned in the remand home earlier, was disbanded because of uselessness some time ago.

Also Oleg Volchek considers that the hunger-strike of Nikolai Autukhovich will solve not only his personal problems, but also the problems of other sentenced persons. «People are imprisoned for 10-15 years without the same medical aid, Autukhovich required», Oleg Volchek said.

The Supreme Court sentenced Nikolai Autukhovich to five years and six months of imprisonment with the service of sentence in a high security colony.
