It was reported on July 14 by the Vice Chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee, Alexander Borisenko. "Executing the order of the head of state, in Minsk we have already reached the figure of 500 dollars of monthly workers' salary", the deputy chairman said.
«By the end of the year we plan to exceed this figure», Alexander Borisenko added, BelTA informs.
As Telegraf previously reported, according to the head of state, to achieve this indicator is one of the key factors of Belarus’ socio-economic development in 2010. It is stipulated in the program of socio-economic development for 2006-2010.
Moreover, as noted in Belarus’ Ministry of Economy, the country has all the reserves to reach the level of the average monthly salary of 500 dollars in equivalent by the end of this year. «The main factor for the achievement of this indicator is to reduce material costs in real sector of economy», the head of the chief macroeconomic analysis and forecast department of Economy Ministry, Alexander Yaroshenko, reported previously.
