Azerbaijan Buys Up Belarusian Tanks, Ter-Tadevosyan

Armenian general, participant of the Karabakh war, Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan, said that Belarusian authorities have sold to Azerbaijanis a certain number of tanks. According to the serviceman, Azerbaijani generals are doing good business on the purchase of Belarusian tanks, written-off as scrap metal.

«The government of this country assigned $ 40 million from the budget to purchase new tanks in Belarus. Belarusians have sold to Azerbaijanis a certain number of tanks, beforehand had written them of from its arsenal as scrap metal. And Belarus got these tanks after the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Germany. I am convinced that Luskashenko would never have sold normal, good for fighting tanks», Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan said, Belarusian service of Radio Liberty reports.

According to Armenian officer, the scheme of general’s business in Azerbaijan is quite simple: generals sent useless scrap for repairs to Tbilisi tank factory, where in average 3-4 tanks from Azerbaijan are being annually repaired. «You can easily make your own conclusions on the income from such a business», Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan summed up.
