Azerbaijanian oil Azeri Light, the pumping of which through Odessa — Brody oil pipeline began in February, should arrive at the Mazyr refinery in late March. This was stated by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Valentin Velichko on the Belarusian TV with the emphasis on the importance of the project for both Belarus and Ukraine.

«We can say that the pipeline hasn’t been operating since the autumn of 2010. It is now working successfully. The oil is being currently pumped into the pipeline and is directed to the Mazyr refinery. However, there is about 600 thousand tons of technological oil in the pipeline, which is now being gradually replaced, so that clean Azerbaijani oil could come at the Mazyr refinery by the end of the month,» said the diplomat, BelTA informs.

According to Valentin Velichko, it is possible to additionally supply Europe with 2 million tons of oil under current conditions.

Meanwhile, according to Telegraf, the Mozyr refinery reported that the Azeri Light crude oil would flow to a refinery via Odessa — Brody oil pipeline in April.
