Bakiyev Denies Participation in New Disorders in Kyrgyzstan

The president of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev being in Belarus denies the participation in disorders in the south of the country and urges to use to do the best to stop bloodshed. "Today the Kyrgyz Republic is on the verge of statehood loss. People perish, and anybody from the representatives of the present authorities is not able to protect them", Kyrgyz leader stated.

«Instead of mobilising all necessary resources for contain the conflict, representatives of the provisional government give interview and hold on press conferences to slander once again me and my relatives, accusing of participation in disorders in the south. I responsibly state, that this is unscrupulous lie. God will judge them.  I am sure, the history will show, who is right, and the truth will triumph all the same», Kurmanbek Bakiyev stated.

«But today there is no time to throw brickbats at each other. People are dying, and it is necessary to do the best to stop bloodshed», the president of Kyrgyzstan said, Korrespondent.net informs.

Bakiyev urged compatriots «not to follow the provocations and the appeals of irresponsible politicians». «The Kyrgyz people are great for their wisdom and tolerance. We always were able to get along with all the people living in our country. Today only the people’s will can rescue Kyrgyzstan. Think again! Our children and grandsons shouldn’t lose their native land. The Kyrgyzs will not have another country», the Kyrgyz leader emphasized.

In the statement he paid respect to all who has lost their relatives and friends because of the latest disorders.

According to the available information, the death-roll in Kyrgyzstan where the third day interethnic collisions haven’t been stopped, has reached 97 persons. Among them are both children and women. 1250 persons have addressed for the help in medical institutions.

The provisional government of Kyrgyzstan declared mobilisation of the persons liable for call-up aged till 50 years to suppress the disorders. State of emergency and curfew was declared in Osh and Jalal-Abad provinces.

Mass-media referring to the eyewitnesses informed earlier that there was one of Kurmanbek Bakiyev’s nephews among the instigators of disorders.
