BATE Goes to Group Stage of Europa League

Just one of the three Belarusian clubs, participated in Europa League reached group stage. BATE Borisov footballers, as it was expected, confirmed their superiority over Portuguese Marítimo. After confident home win a week ago — 3:0 Viktor Goncharenko's players won a visit match on August 26 as well, 2:1.

Alexander Pavlov and Maksim Skavysh scored for Belarusians. The second year in a row, Borisov footballers will play in group stage of the second largest continental club tournament, BelTA informs.

Losing a week ago visit match against Belgian Brugge 1:2, Dinamo Minsk could not adequately withstand in own field and was beaten by the guests — 2:3. Andrei Chukhley and Stanislav Dragun scored for Dinamo.

Mogilev Dnepr, losing to Spanish Villarreal — 0:5 away, was also defeated at home but with a minimal difference — 1:2. Vladimir Yurchenko scored the only goal for Mogilev.

Europe League group stage draw will be held on August 27.
