Batura Wants Minsk Region to Become the Center of Swine Breeding

On July 19, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, met with the Chairman of Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Boris Batura. In the course of their meeting, the head of the executive committee reported to the country's leader that in Minsk region it was planned to build five large swine-breeding complexes, the press service of Belarusian leader informs.

Moreover, Boris Batura reported to the president that in the region it was also necessary to reconstruct Borisov swine-breeding complex. According to the chairman of Minsk Regional Executive Committee, it is planned that new facilities will be commissioned by the end of 2011. It is also planned to modernize two poultry farms.

The head of state was also reported about the outcome of wok of Minsk region’s economy over first six months of this year, about the implementation of forecast indicators and the beginning of the mass harvesting in the region. Taking into account the fact that in Minsk region there are a lot of crops, put down by the wind, Alexander Lukashenko demanded Boris Batura to ensure maximum quality of harvesting.

During the working meeting there were discussed issues, associated with the conduct of next year’s Republican fair-festival for rural toilers «Dozhinki-2011», with Molodechno as place to hold.
