The international office of the "Belarusian Christian Democracy" (BCD) started on January 28 in Vilnius. As reported in the party, office opened within the inter-party cooperation agreement between the BCD organizing committee and the party "Homeland Union — Lithuanian Christian Democrats."

«The office will continue to develop the international work of the Party, to represent the interests of the BCD in Lithuania and at the international level. The office is also open for cooperation with other political parties and public organizations of Belarus,» the BCD told.

The BCD noted that this initiative was fully consonant with the PACE resolution on Belarus, accepted on January 27, which calls for European parties to «take active measures in support of their sister parties in Belarus by strengthening personal care over the detained leaders and members of their families, providing financial support for the political parties’ functioning and inviting them to participate actively in the meetings of the European side at all levels.»
