Belarus and Kazakhstan may greatly enhance its turnover in the framework of the Common Economic Space. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov on March 15 . "Last year, turnover was close to the line of almost $1 billion. I think we will be able to significantly exceed this figure within the EEA," said Alexander Lukashenko.

President of Belarus noted that, over 30 projects for industrialization are being currently realized in Kazakhstan jointly with the Belarusian side. The Government of Belarus proposes to add a list of joint projects with the new ones, BelTA informs.

«We are ready for deeper work in Kazakhstan. Our work experience in the Republic of Kazakhstan shows that it’s the best country to implement our agreements. Belarus has fulfilled its obligations by 100% and in time, so there will be no  problems with our country,» said Alexander Lukashenko.

Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that Kazakhstan is currently undergoing a difficult political time in connection with the upcoming presidential election. The Belarusian leader wished the current president Nursultan Nazarbayev to endure this period quietly. Alexander Lukashenko is convinced that «Kazakhstan will still surprise the entire world with its own pace of development.» According to him, this is clearly indicated by the results of socio-economic development for 2010 and early 2011.
