Belarus' 6.6% GDP increase for the Nine Months, Belstat

Gross domestic product has increased by 6.6% in January-September this year compared to the same period of 2009 and amounted to Br116.641 trillion. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.

According to the Ministry of Statistics, Belarusian industries released production of Br114.670 trillion over the nine months period, which is a 10.3% increase compared to January-September 2009, the AFN.

The volume of agricultural production has risen by 1.1% to Br25.518 trillion, investment in fixed capital has increased by 9.5% to Br36.056 trillion. Retail turnover has grown by 16.2% to Br49.406 trillion.

In accordance with the approved government forecast of socio-economic development, GDP growth in 2010 should amount to 11-13%, industrial production — 10-12%.

6.8% inflation in the beginning of the year, Belstat

In Belarus, the consumer prices rose by 1.6% in September 2010 after 0.6% rise in August and 0.3% in July, the National Statistics Committee reported.
Since the beginning of the year, inflation in the country amounted to 6.8% and an annualized basis (by September last year) — 9%.

Industrial producer prices rose by 3.4% in September and by 15.3% in January-September.

Forecast for 2010 provides for 8-10% limiting of the consumer prices growth.
