Belarus and Brazil to Establish The Embassies

The Heads of State, Belarus and Brazil, Alexander Lukashenko and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva respectively, at the end of the meeting in Rio de Janeiro agreed that Belarus and Brazil will establish its embassies in Brasilia and Minsk soon. The Presidents adopted a joint declaration as meeting's result.

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva welcomed the statement of the Belarusian president about the intention to open the Belarusian embassy in Brasilia. Following the principle of reciprocity, the President of Brazil announced its intention to open the embassy in Minsk.

After the negotiations, the two Presidents agreed that Belarus and Brazil have common views on such values as respect for international law, strengthen of democracy, human rights, struggle for peace and international security, informs BelTA.

In his turn, the Belarusian leader confirmed Belarus’ participation in the 3rd «Alliance of Civilizations» forum, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro in May and will be organized outside the Euro-Mediterranean region for the first time.
