Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky and deputy chairman of the People's Republic Xi Jinping signed on March 25 in Minsk a package of 12 documents on economic and trade cooperation. Sergei Sidorsky stressed that China is a strategic partner of Belarus.
«Relations between countries are characterized by an active political dialogue at senior management level, the active development of trade-economic, credit and investment, scientific and technical relations,» — noted the Belarusian Premier.
Sergei Sidorsky recalled that at the moment, with the participation of Chinese investors, projects in the cement industry, industry, and also in the field of mobile communications are carried out in Belarus. China established a joint venture for the production of the Belarusian agricultural equipment, completed the establishment of two new large enterprise on production of BelAZ tractors.
Among the agreements is protocol on the approval of contract for reconstruction of existing terminal complex Minsk National Airport with creation of the modern international passenger terminal, an agreement on implementation of projects in the field of electroenergy between Belenergo and a group of companies GECHZHOUBA, agreement between Beltelecom and State China Development Bank for a loan of 60 million dollars, informs BelTA.
China supports early implementation of joint projects, Xi.
The Chinese Government is ready to speed up implementation of joint projects with Belarus. Deputy chairman of the Peoples Republic of China Xi Jinpingfter stated after the meeting.
Deputy chairman expressed confidence that Belarus and China will achieve great success in the development of relations. «China appreciates the fact that Belarus attaches great importance to cooperation with China. We became good friends and partners, our relations are based of strong support for each other» — the politician stressed.
Speaking about bilateral trade, Xi reminded of a framework agreement on cooperation between the Government of Belarus and the Export-Import Bank of China, which provides a credit line for 5.7 billion dollars to finance investment projects in Belarus with participation of Chinese companies.
«We hope that the financial bodies of our countries can successfully carry out work on joint projects. We offer Belarus to expand financing channels ,» — said the deputy chairman of the PRC.
