Belarus and Poland are Linked by Strong Foundation, Lukashenko

Alexander Lukashenko believes that historical, cultural, economic and social ties, which exist between the peoples of Poland and Belarus, are solid foundation for further substantial expansion of fruitful cooperation between the two countries in all spheres. Such an opinion was expressed by the leader of Belarusian state to congratulate Bronislaw Komorowski with his election to the post of the President of Poland.

Poland not to change policy towards Belarus, Milinkevich

Election of Bronislaw Komorowski to the post of the President of Poland will not change the policy of neighboring country towards Belarus. This opinion was expressed by the leader of For Freedom (Za Svabodu) Movement, Alexander Milinkevich, BelaPAN informs.

The politician also said that Bronislaw Komorowski is interested in our country, because his family is from here, and he would like Belarus to become democratic, take the path to European integration. «I think, he will be an active player in this new EU policy towards Belarus», Alexander Milinkevich said.

As Telegraf previously reported, the Speaker of the Sejm, the acting head of state, Bronislaw Komorowski, won presidential elections in Poland. Such official results were published by National Electoral Commission of the Republic.

According to the NEC, on the basis of processing 100% of the ballots, 53.01% of voters voted for Komorowski. His opponent, leader of the Law and Justice, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, obtained 46.99% of votes. The turnout at last elections was equal to 55.31%.
