Friday, June 10, Belenergo representatives plan to hold talks with Russian partners RAO about Belarus's debts for electricity supplied. According to a source in the Russian company, the parties intend to discuss a payment schedule for debt repayment.

According to a source, Inter RAO counts on the Belarusian side to pay back RUB1.5 billion debt by the end of July, according to RIA «Novosti.»

«We count on the constructive approach of the Belarusian partners to a given situation,» said in Inter RAO.

According to Telegraf, June 9, Russian exporter of electricity, the company Inter RAO, halved the electricity supplies to Belarus because of debts. The Belarusian side owes approximately RUB1.5 billion for electricity supplied in March-April this year.

Meanwhile, Belarus believes that such a twofold decrease in the Russian electricity supplies won’t have any negative consequences for the Belarusian consumers, as they can be covered by the internal resources of the country.
