Belarus and Switzerland Signed a Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan

Head of Department of International Military Cooperation of the Belarusian Defence Ministry Igor Zarovkin met with the Defence Attache at the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine and Belarus (on concurrent) Christophe Bruno in Minsk on November 29. Following the meeting, the parties first signed a plan of bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.

As it became known to Telegraf, they are particularly discussed prospects for further development of military cooperation in peacekeeping and Belarusian soldiers training in courses, conducted by the Armed Forces of Switzerland.

In addition, Igor Zarovkin met with the new defense attache, military and air attache at the Canadian Embassy in the Republic of Belarus with residence in Moscow (Russia) Pierre St-Cyr. During the meeting the sides discussed prospects of cooperation between the defense ministries of both countries.

According to Pierre St-Cyr, despite the vast distance between the two countries, military relations can develop rapidly and successfully in all major destinations, the Defense Ministry of Belarus said.
