Belarus and Ukraine Postponed Transit Agreement Signing

Belarus and Ukraine postponed signing of the intergovernmental agreement on transportation of the Venezuelan oil through the Ukrainian territory to the Belarusian oil refineries, the representatives of Belneftekhim informed on  July, 9th.

The representative of the state concern said nothing about the reasons on which the document had not been signed. «Agreement signing is postponed», RIA Novosti informs on the words of the representative. Probable terms of document signing were not specified.

As Telegraf informed, Belarus and Ukraine planned to sign the given agreement till the end of this week. The given agreement should allow increasing of oil volumes transportation through Ukraine by pipeline and by rail

The agreement on deliveries of the Venezuelan oil to Belarus was signed in March, 2010. According to arrangements the total amount of deliveries should make about four millions tons this year.

Three tankers have already arrived from Venezuela to the port of Odessa, whence oil is delivered in railway tanks for processing at the Mazyr Oil Refinery.
