"The ministers finally agreed on the implementation's settings of previously reached agreement between the presidents of Ukraine and Belarus on the participation of Ukrainian troops in a parade to mark the 65th anniversary of Great Victory in Minsk, and Belarus units — in a parade on May 9 in Kiev", the press service quotes the subject of conversation.

The report stresses that this agreement symbolizes the recognition of Ukrainians’ contribution to liberation of the territory of Belarus and Belarusians’ contribution to the liberation of the Ukrainian lands during the Great Patriotic War, Korrespondent.net reports.

Furthermore, the ministers discussed a wide range of topical issues of bilateral relations, including the preparation of the visit of Ukraine’s President, Viktor Yanukovych, in Belarus.

As it was reported, Ukrainian soldiers will also take part in a military parade in Moscow.

Meanwhile, former Ukrainian Defense Minister, Anatoly Gritsenko, called the president Viktor Yanukovych to invite servicemen from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Baltic states and other former Soviet republics, besides Russian soldiers, to take part in the military parade on May 9 in Kiev.

In its turn, Ukrainian People’s Party calls on Verkhovna Rada  to ban the participation of Russian militaries in the parade on May 9 in Kiev and other cities.
