By October 1, Belarus and Russia could revise the volumes of Russian duty-free oil supplied to Belarusian oil refineries before the end of 2010. This opportunity is provided by a package of documents on the terms of oil supplies to Belarus, signed by the parties in January 2010. It was reported by a source close to Russian government.

Commenting on possible influence of Venezuelan oil supplies to Belarus on the volume of duty-free Russian crude oil to be supplied to the Republic in 2010, the source underlined that «the protocol has no linkage with external supplies», PRIME-TASS informs.

At the same time, the source noted that Venezuelan oil supplies could affect the change of the Union State’s balance on oil supply in 2011. However, he added that «the balance is only an indicative document».

On January 27, in Moscow there was signed a package of documents on the terms of oil supplies to Belarus in 2010. The volume of duty-free oil supplies for domestic consumption amounted to 6.3 million tons. The rest of oil volumes will be under one hundred percent export duty, according to the agreement. In 2009, Belarusian oil refineries processed nearly 22 million tons of oil.
