The Department of Aviation of Ministry of Transport and Communications of Belarus informed that the movement of aircrafts over the territory of Belarus had to be limited. In connection with the possibility of occurrence of volcanic dust clouds over the territory of Belarus, the movement of aircrafts over the country's territory is closed at altitudes of 7 to 11 kilometers.
«In Minsk National Airport, majority of the flights to Europe is cancelled, while the flights in eastern direction, for example, to Moscow, is being performed», the specialists told, BelTA informs.
Ministry’s officials constantly monitor the situation regarding the spread of volcanic cloud, liaise with colleagues from Russia, Ukraine and other European countries.
All the data is being examined and analyzed by the staff of the Department in cooperation with representatives of Minsk National Airport, Belavia national airline, Belaeronavigation enterprise, Republican Hydro Meteorological Center.
