Ministry of Economy of Belarus abolished the regulated prices of sugar (excluding sugar sand) by its decision of May 14, № 495. There have been saved and set currently fixed retail prices of white sugar with no additives, implemented for the population, packed into consumer packages weighing more than 500 grams (with the exception of white sugar sand, implemented for industrial processing).

Pressed sugar, coarse sugar, enriched with additives, sugar in small packing of 5-10 grams and weight sugar, produced by sugar-organizations in the domestic market for industrial processing, are excluded from the list of socially important goods, which are under state regulation of prices, told the Ministry of Economy.

In addition, the Ministry of Economy has informed that there will be simultaneously removed restrictions on trade margins on mince, dumplings, organ meats, cooked meats, fish, cheese, salt, bananas, oranges and lemons. «Wholesale trade allowances will be applied to these goods adjusted for the prevailing market conditions,» said the ministry.
