Ukraine does not intend to rebate railway tariffs for Venezuelan oil transit, as Minks does not ensure transit volumes declared earlier. It was reported by the Minister of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, Konstantin Efimenko.

For 2010, Belarus declared about four million tons of oil, however this year oil supplies are expected to amount to one million tons, Transport Minister of Ukraine informed.

«Two tankers with 80 thousand tons are coming per month (to the port of Odessa — Telegraf). Supplies began in May. Thus, they (Belarus — Telegraph) do not reach four million tons this year», Konstantin Efimenko said, AFN informs.

With regard to possible launch of Odessa-Brody pipeline to operate in project regime (reverse), the head of Transport Ministry of Ukraine stated that it could be done only under the condition that Belarus to realize the transit of Venezuelan oil in the amount of more than nine million tons a year.

Moreover, Ukrainian Minister noted that there was no threat of decline in Venezuelan oil transit through the territory of Ukraine in connection with the beginning of its transit through the Baltic ports.

«One problem exists there: there is a crossing between Latvia and Lithuania, and additional charges are levied, so this route is not really profitable», Konstantin Efimenko explained.
