Belarus' economy slowly starts to increase after the crisis. It was stated by Alexander Lukashenko on April 26. "We've outlived the most difficult period in recent history. We did not feel the terrible crisis, which was in other countries, when there was nothing to eat, it was cold, the people were starving", the president said.

«They say, the world is emerging from crisis. And we slowly start to add. If we reach the level of 2008, we’ll live», the president said during his visit to Cherikov district of Mogilev region. The head of state stressed that if the tendency of growth continues, «then there will be money, new farms will be built, and we will have normal wages», BelTA informs.

During the visit to Ezery agricultural town Alexander Lukashenko also stated that the establishment of agro-towns in Belarus in this five-year plan will be completed in general. There will be more than 1.5 thousand settlements of this type in total in the country. In the future, large villages — located near the agro-towns — will be put in order.

According to the president, in Belarus, 30% of the population lives in rural areas, while in the world this number is 6%. «I would like to keep these 30% of rural population», the president said. «We must save the village, this is our main task».
