The Republic of Belarus has extended the list of goods banned for import from Germany. This was stated by Director General of the Veterinary Department of Food and Agriculture Yuri Pivovarchik. "We introduce temporary restrictions on imports from all over Germany under the state veterinary control," the official said.

First of all, the ban affected food products; also authorities revoked the previously issued permits for the import of potentially dangerous products, BelTA.

«So far the state veterinary service in Germany has not presented exhaustive information about the lists of farms and businesses, receiving the feed with extra dioxin,» said Yuri Pivovarchik.

The official added that Germany also did not provide lists of businesses and farms, which could supply Belarus with potentially dangerous animals and goods, contaminated with dioxin.

As Telegraf previously reported, Belarus banned the import of products and fodder from Germany on January 11, since eggs, chicken and pork were contaminated with dioxin on more than 4.7 thousand German farms.
