On October 7 President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that no economic cataclysm, including the default, threaten Belarus. "With God's help the next-year agricultural situation will be the same as nowadays. We've got some problems with bread, but in general we've got a great year," the president said.

«We have food to eat, to feed the children (the children are fed in schools and kindergartens) and clothes to wear as well. We’re not found fault with here,» BelTA quoted Alexander Lukashenko.

According to the head of state, we’ll need to dedicate the next five years to specific issues of improving social services in rural areas, «correcting all the shortcomings and defects of the previous work.»

In particular, the President drew attention to the fact that children should not be a problem for parents, especially in rural areas, as a school bus is planned to bring and take back children from schools or kindergartens.

«Parents won’t worry about the children. We need to «polish» the projects and complete the agricultural towns’ construction in the areas, where it has not been yet done, in the coming five years. This will let the villagers live, raise their children and feel safe and confident about their future. Even if a child fails to get to the city, to enter the University, he should know that he’s needed in rural areas,» Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
