The growth rate of Belarus' gross domestic product for the period of 2011-2015 should amount from 162 to 168%. It was stated by the Prime Minister, Sergei Sidorsky, on July 21 at a meeting of Republican organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the Fourth All-Belarusian People's Assembly.

According to the head of the government, the base to raise the GDP should be a large-scale fast economy modernization as well as creation of new breakthrough areas, as the country possess little raw materials, and the economy is extremely dependant on imported energy and raw materials, BelTA informs.

«The reality leads us to live at the expense of high qualification, intelligence of professionals, development of less material needed high-tech industries with high value added», Sergei Sidorsky declared.

He noted that the main target in the next five years will be quality indicators of economic development. «These are primarily profitability of sales, paces of labor productivity growth, exports of goods and services», the head of the government said.
