Belarus is the Fourth Largest Exporter of Oil From Venezuela

Belarus ranks the fourth behind the U.S., China and India in terms of oil supplies from Venezuela. It was announced on April 23 by the minister of petroleum and energy of Latin American country, Rafael Ramirez, at a press conference in Caracas. According to the statistics on daily volume of oil exports, Belarus imports 80 thousand barrels of black gold a day.

The U.S. imports about one million barrels of oil a day, China — 460 thousand, India — 200 thousand, the minister of petroleum and energy of Venezuela said, BelTA informs.

In terms of oil exports, Belarus is ahead of the Petrocaribe country’s alliance (50 thousand barrels), Uruguay (40 thousand barrels), Nicaragua (25 thousand barrels) and Bolivia (12 thousand barrels).

Petrocaribe Alliance was established in 2005 in accordance with an agreement on cooperation in energy issues. Currently, it includes 18 countries, they are: the Bahamas, Haiti, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Suriname, Jamaica and other countries.
