Belarus Leads the World in Russian Import Restrictions

Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation published the data on restrictions of goods import from Russia in the whole world. The leader in the fight against Russian import is Belarus, which imposed 22 limitations on imports of Russian goods.

In total, as of May 1, in the world there existed 93 restrictions on goods import from Russia, Lenta.ru reports citing Interfax.

The second place after Belarus in combating Russian imports is taken by the European Union, which imposed 17 restrictions on the import of Russian goods. The biggest number of limitations considers the import of metal and chemical products (28 and 14, respectively).

According to Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the total number of restrictions on goods import from Russia remained the same as it was last year, when this list was also topped by metal and chemical products.
