Belarusian authorities have suggested banks would turn down guarantee for housing lending. This was stated by the head of the Belarusian government Sergei Sidorski on November 12, responding to the questions of JSC "Polotsk-Steklovolokno" employees.  According to him, the draft decree has been prepared and agreed with the banks.

According to the prime minister, the draft project will soon be submitted to the president’s consideration, BelTA informs.

Sergei Sidorski noted that stable wages and security of property should become the guarantor of loans repayment to banks. In this case, the government is considering provision of greater incentives for housing constructions for families with three or more children, he said.

«By giving housing preferential loans, the state should receive demographic benefit,» the prime minister underlined.
