Belarus National Debt Has Increased by 11.46 Billion Dollars over Six Months, Belstat

Over the first six months, public debt of Belarus increased by 12% and on July 1 it totaled 34.1 trillion rubles (or 11.46 billion dollars).It's evidenced by National Statistic Committee. However, Belarus' national debt for June rose by 2.2%.

External public debt in rubles increased by 14.3% since the beginning of the year (including, by 3.2% in June) to 25.79 trillion rubles (or 8.66 billion dollars) on July 1 this year. The volume of domestic national debt amounted to 8.32 trillion rubles (or 2.79 billion dollars), increased by 5.5% over the first half of the year (decreased by 0.9% in June), AFN informs.

In the structure of public debt, central government’s debt reached 27.53 trillion rubles (or 9.25 billion dollars), having grown from the beginning of the year by 11.4% (including 2.8% in June). Economic entities’ debt, guaranteed by the government, amounted to 6.58 trillion rubles (or 2.21 billion dollars), having grown by 14.8% from January to June (at the same time, decreased by 0.3% in June).
