Belarus Plans to Sign an Agreement on State Border Regime with Latvia

In near future, Belarus and Latvia plan to sign an agreement on state border regime. It was reported on July 14 by the deputy chairman of State Border Committee, Andrei Gorulko.

In addition, the representative of the SBC stressed that Belarus had already signed a similar agreement with Lithuania. After signing the agreement on state border regime between Belarus and Latvia, according to Andrei Gorulko, it is planned to sign a similar agreement with Poland, BelTA informs.

«Borders of Belarus with the EU are well equipped, but there continue reconstruction of crossing points to increase their capacity. It is necessary for the development of transit attractiveness, which is especially important for the functioning of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan», deputy chairman of State Border Committee said.
