Belarus Projects Agro-Towns in Venezuela

The group of architects of BelNIIPgradostroitelstvo Scientific and Production Republican Unitary Enterprise is going to Venezuelan state of Tachira on May 3. There is a plan to build an agro-town of La Pedrera. The trip is related to the projection of Belarusian agro-towns instead of Venezuelan agricultural cooperatives and micro communes.

The visit of Belarusian architects to be held in the framework of agreements’ implementation of the intergovernmental commission of Belarus and Venezuela, BelTA informs. Earlier, during the stay in the state of Cojedes, there were held meeting of Belarusian architects with the governor, Teodoro Bolívar, and the heads of local offices of ministry of agriculture, ministry of civil and housing construction and ministry of environment. Deputy director of the institute, Dmitry Semenkevich, stated: «During the meetings, we have received all necessary information to complete the second phase of projection by June of this year».

«Our aim was to get acquainted with the landscape, because we can not clarify information about protected areas, forests and places of underflooding from topographic maps», deputy director said about the trip to the Charcote sector, where it’s also planned to build Las Pakas agro-town.

Construction of Belarusian agro-towns will be realized in three states of Venezuela (Guárico, Cojedes, Táchira), and the construction plan in the state of Guárico has already been approved by Venezuelan government. There signed four contracts in construction of housing, agricultural enterprises and infrastructure as well as holding melioration works.
