Belarus Raises Tariff on Oil Products Transit by 12.7%

From July 1 of this year, Belarus raises the tariff on transportation of petroleum products via its main oil pipelines by 12.7% to 1.6 dollars per ton of oil, transported to 100 kilometers. It was reported in Belarus' Ministry of Economy.

«New tariffs are set by the decree of Economy Ministry №79, taken in accordance with an agreement between the government of Belarus and Russia’s government on cooperation in exploitation of main pipelines, located on the territory of Belarus, from June 8, 2004», reported in the ministry, BelTA informs.

Since the beginning of the year, specific tariff on transit of oil products through the territory of Belarus was increased by 4.4% and amounted to 1.42 dollars per ton of oil, transported to 100 kilometers.

The transportation of Russian oil products through Belarus’ territory is carried out by Zapad-Transnefteproduct (a subsidiary of Russian Transnefteproduct).
