Belarus Raises Taxes on Oil Products from June

June 1, the Government of Belarus set new rates of export duties on oil and oil products exported outside the customs territory of the Customs Union. The decision on this is contained in the resolution № 672 of the Council of Ministers  of May 27, reported in the government.

The rate of export customs duty per ton of crude oil, including crude oil produced in the Verhniachonski and Talakanski oil and gas fields, will amount to $462.1. Export duty on crude oil with a sulfur content, except for crude oil from the Verhniachonski and Talakanski oil and gas fields, will amount to $217.5.

Light oil products’ duty (light distillates, middle distillates) will be equal to $309.6 per ton from June 1, commercial gasoline and naphtha — $415.8, heavy oil (liquid fuels, oils, waste oils) — $215.8, propane, butanes, ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadiene, other liquefied gases — $189.8, petroleum jelly, mineral waxes and similar products — $215.8.

The fee for one ton of petroleum coke and bitumen, other residues of petroleum oils or oils, obtained from bituminous minerals, will be $215.8, benzene, toluene, xylene — $309.6.

As Telegraf previously reported, the Belarusian authorities formerly decided to raise export duties on oil and oil products, exported from a country outside the customs union, on May 1. The fee per ton of crude oil amounted to $453.7 instead of $423.7.
