Belarus Received About 800 Thousand Tons of Venezuelan Crude Oil

Belarus continues to receive Venezuelan crude oil from three international sea ports — Muuga, Odessa and Klaipeda. Four tankers with Venezuelan oil of Santa Barbara sort arrived In Estonian port, seven in Odessa, one tanker with trial consignment of Venezuelan oil in Klaipeda. As of September 9, Belarusian refineries received almost 800 thousand tons of hydrocarbons.

According to first deputy head of transport service of Belarusian railway, Ivan Voitekhovich, through Estonian port of Muuga in Belarus there have already shipped three tankers with Venezuelan oil of Santa Barbara sort (about 80 thousand tons each). Railway service sent more than 75 trains with oil (with 64-66 cars each) to refineries, CTV informs.

Now, from stationary tanks of the port there being carried out the loading of crude oil from the fourth Estonian tanker in the tanks of inventory stock of Belarusian and Latvian railways (Estonian Railways does not have its own). The first train with these hydrocarbons arrives today, September 10, to Barbarov station of Gomel branch of Belarusian Railways. Its recipient is Mozyr oil refinery.

There are no failures in loading Latin American oil in Odessa commercial sea port. Moreover, Santa Barbara also comes to be processed in Mozyr from here. Six full tankers with hydrocarbons in equivalent are transported from Odessa to Belarus.

As Ivan Voitekhovich explained, as of September 9, in this direction there formed and transported 13 oil trains — this is more than a half of oil from the seventh Venezuelan tanker in total. They have already arrived at the enterprise. To transport one such oil tanker in Belarus takes eight or nine days of the port and railway employees’ work.

As Telegraf previously reported, Minerva Helen tanker with trial consignment of Venezuelan oil for Belarus moored in Lithuanian port of Klaipeda on August 29.

As for today, in Belarus from Klaipeda in the direction of Barbarov station there sent 14 trains with black gold of the first Lithuanian party. It remains to transport 12-13 oil trains to Mozyr oil refinery.

In accordance with Belarusian authorities’ plans, for the period from May 2010 to May 2011 Belarus is to get four million tons of Venezuelan oil, and after that supplies amount should increase to 10 million tons a year.
