Belarus Repaid 200 Million Dollars Credit to Azerbaijan

On July, 1st Belarus repaid to Azerbaijan ahead of schedule 200 million dollars of the credit taken for payment of Russian natural gas delivery. Azerbaijan granted money to Belarus on June, 23rd with a condition that the Belarusian party would repay the credit within 12 calendar days. The parties signed all necessary documents under this credit.

Belarus should have returned the credit to Azerbaijan not later than July, 5th. The sources in financial circles inform, that on July, 1st Minsk decided to repay completely the taken credit; Lenta.ru informs referring to «Interfax».
 
As Telegraf informed, the credit to Belarus was granted by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev after the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky had addressed to the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade on June, 21st. He applied for allocation of the short-term credit to Belarus in connection with the situation on Russian gas delivery to Belarus.

Ilham Aliyev was immediately informed on Sergei Sidorsky’s appeal. «Considering that friendly relations are formed between our countries, the head of Azerbaijan agreed to allocate this credit», the spokesman of Azerbaijani president Azer Gasymov said.
